I received notecard from Warwick Falconer regarding Cira Emor‘s bullshit. Those Fighting lies need to stop already!

I believe it is something the people of the MGA needs to see. Basically, so long as Linden Labs allows Unity Maxim products to be sold, it is LEGAL to use them. DO NOT allow Cira Emor or Tahiti Rae to threaten you. BLOCK AND MUTE if they approach or do it now and save yourself the headache.

This long notecard contains a fair amount of drama. I hate, hate, hate bringing drama into a happy playground, but I need
to address a dispute that has caused harm to my customers. I have been mostly patient with the issue I describe below,
relying upon my own customers who know the facts and have supported me. But at a cost to them that I can no longer
tolerate. So, read on if you choose, but please don’t let it impact your fun.

In the past few years there has been an ongoing dispute between myself and a my previous sim partner over the ownership
of Unity. Her name is Cira Emor, and during this time she (and her lapdog Tahiti Rae) have accosted creators who use my
Unity weapon scripts to make their bows, swords, etc, and even recently have begun to harass those creator’s customers.
She has threatened them with lawsuits, accused them of being “complicit” in crimes (including such insane accusations
against The American Cancer Society!), and their customers for using “stolen” content. To the average or new customer,
this is quite off-putting, and has resulted in lost sales and lost recruiting.

I’d like to have things be easy, and to simply say Cira is a pathological liar, but it is likely that she is deluded enough to
actually believe her “truth”. Her rabid, rambling profile is evidence enough of that, where she proudly asserts, and I
quote, “…I envisioned a successful Academe/FCS/Unity systems, meters, weapons, and community in a RL dream”.
That prophetic dream was evidently in 2009 because she further claims copyright (again quoting) :

” ©2009IP-FCS/Unity/Unity Empire/Unity Combat Meters/Weapon scripts”. (note, FCS was Falcon Combat Systems).

But….FCS and Unity did not yet exist in 2009 (though I am flattered that in her 2009 dream the gods named the code
Falcon Combat System and not the Emor Combat System!). But the fact is, I didn’t write a single line of code until a
year later. It is quite impossible to copyright a work that doesn’t yet exist. Prophetic dreams notwithstanding.

So, simple won’t do. These dreamy claims may be truth to Cira, but importantly there is legal difference between Truth
and Fact. In the real world, Facts are what make Truths true.

Cira Emor contributed zero scripting or IP in Falcon Combat Systems, Unity or Unity Maxim. Absolutely zero. Ever.
She cannot substantiate a single line of code, a single idea, a single contribution to support her dreamy claim. Full stop.

If Cira had a case she need only file a DMCA Takedown with Lindens, under legal oath. But one of the criteria for filing
a DMCA is that you must produce proof of copyright ownership by showing the material being copyrighted, and that
it is actually your work. She can do neither. And she is sane enough to know the consequences of filing a false DMCA
under oath. Full stop.

If you are a creator and are using Unity scripting, you have a full, legal, paid-up, irrevocable license to use the scripts
to create anything you choose within the Second Life environment. Full stop.

If you are a customer of one of the over 300 Unity creators, you are in no way violating any copyright, U.S. law or
Second Life Terms of Service articles. Full stop.

The abusive attack on customers by Cira Emor and Tahiti Rae must stop. They have slandered such wonderful
community groups as Medieval Game Association, Unity Joust League, the Knights Guild, the White Knights,
Sanctuary, Great Alliance, We Love Role Play and even the American Cancer Society, calling all of them “criminals”.
I have filed multiple grievances with Linden Labs over this, and just this week have hopefully made inroads to having
the issue reviewed by the appropriate senior administration teams.

Please do be clear, I have not asked for Linden Labs to litigate the ownership dispute – they will never do that. I have
asked them only to stop Cira Emor and Tahiti Rae from abusing you, the customers. Having said that, I would again
advise that if you are accosted by either of these two people and feel it is abusive, please consider reporting it as
abuse to Linden Labs. It is your right to do so, and will result in no retribution…all confidential.

Lastly, This is all a huge embarrassment to me and brings a good amount of distress with it. I again apologize for
being part of bringing this drama to SL. It is a shame that Cira and I were once such good friends, yet it ended up
negatively impacting such a wide community.
